Gluten Free Panko Mozzarella Sticks

 

1 block of Mozzarella, cut into 24 batons
2/3 cup plain flour
1/4 tsp sweet paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups
Get Farmed Gluten-Free Panko Crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Vegetable oil, for frying 

 

Combine flour, paprika and salt in a bowl.

Place panko crumbs in a separate bowl

In a third bowl, beat eggs and milk together.

Add 5-6 of the mozzarella batons to the eggs and milk mixture, toss to coat.  Transfer to flour mix bowl and coat. Return to the milk mix bowl and finally transfer to the panko crumb bowl to coat. Repeat for remaining batons.

Place crumbed mozzarella in the freezer for 30 minutes to freeze the cheese and ensure it doesn’t melt during frying.

Shallow fry the crumbed mozzarella in vegetable oil until golden on all sides. Drain on paper towel and serve immediately.
