What’s a Micro Co-op?

Welcome to Get Farmed! News,

I’m Lynne, the founder behind the Get Farmed! brand. Pop the kettle on and settle in.

I’ve got an idea that I’d like to introduce to you, it involves a new way of supporting our Aussie Farming products.
Get Farmed! Micro Co-ops
Australia is a big country, and one of the biggest limitations to small companies is getting our great Aussie products to you.

We love our independent supermarkets and traders around the country, but sometimes they’re just not close enough to many of our customers. Some of our farming mates think nothing of traveling a few hundred kilometers for shopping, but that’s not for everyone.

We, and many smaller Australian companies offer online sales, which is convenient, but the cost of delivery makes this an uneconomical option for many people.

So, I started thinking…What if we got together with our mates, and you got together with your mates and we formed Get Farmed! Micro Co-ops?

Get Farmed! Micro Co-ops are just that…tiny co-operatives of people working together.

The idea for micro co-ops came from toilet paper. Specifically, Who Gives a Crap toilet paper.  Another great Australian company who sell toilet paper online, but you can only buy large quantities. So friends, families and neighbours are getting together to order bulk toilet paper and then meeting at the pub to divvy up the order.

If it works for toilet paper, why can’t it work for great Australian food products too?

I’ve been talking to some of my contacts from small Australian producers and they love the idea, if it means more Aussies can support Australian products. To start the ball rolling, we are offering bulk packs, with reduced shipping costs of our products, specifically for Get Farmed! Micro Co-ops.  We’ve made it easy for you and and we will ship these around the country for a set price.  That way you know exactly what each person in the co-op owes for their share.

Get Farmed! Taster Pack

We’re working on mixed packs and talking to our mates about including other products in the Co-op range and we’ll keep you updated!

So I urge you to support not only our great little brand, but all Australian grown produce, so Get Farmed! and support Aussie farmers.

We’ll be back soon with another wholesome recipe & news from Get Farmed!

Happy farming,
